LaBar Adams – Orlando, FL

Mr. LaBar grew up in Central Florida. He attended the University of Florida and received a degree in Psychology and in Economics. Following undergraduate work, he attended the University of Florida Law School.

While studying in Gainesville, he worked for a prestigious personal injury law firm and learned firsthand what it takes to represent people in disadvantaged situations. He used this knowledge, along with his experience as an attorney representing large insurance companies, to effectively represent his present day clients that are now fighting against those same insurance companies.

Mr. LaBar represents all men, women, and children who have been injured by the negligence of others. These cases include personal injury matters resulting from car accidents, truck accidents, slips and falls, dog bite cases as well wrongful deaths. An aggressive approach is always used and is absolutely necessary to make sure the full value of each case is reached.

Besides working with personal injury clients, Mr. LaBar has defended thousands of people wrongfully accused of crimes. He has represented clients in cases ranging from simple D.U.I. all the way to First Degree Murder. In all matters, Mr. LaBar takes an aggressive approach to litigation. A multi part strategy including motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, and trial practice is often the most effective solution to a client's case. Mr. LaBar devotes his practice to Orange, Seminole Counties and all surrounding counties.

Mr. LaBar is licensed to represent clients in all Florida State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter – Orlando, FL

In the state of Florida, only 2.5% of civil trial lawyers age 40 or below are referred to as Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Since 2010 Attorney Fermin Lopez has consecutively received this recognition from the publication “Super Lawyers – Top Attorneys in Florida.” In June of 2011 he was also recognized among “Florida’s Outstanding Young Lawyers” by the American Registry of Business Excellence. But at such an early stage in his career Mr. Lopez has gotten more than just prestigious accolades and courtroom success – he has also become a known scholar in the Orlando academic community.

Since 2004 Fermin Lopez has been adjunct professor of insurance law at Barry University School of Law as well as coach of the Student Trial Advocacy Team. When asked to draw a parallel between teaching the law and practicing law, Mr. Lopez says “there’s no better way to understand the law than to teach it, and that’s what makes being a trial lawyer fun – we get to teach the law to a jury (and sometimes to a judge). When you can convince your audience that you and your client are right and your opponent is wrong, few things are more exciting than that.”

Prior to becoming an attorney Fermin Lopez served with the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, Africa and served as a paratrooper with the 18th Airborne Corps in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law with Honors in Trial Advocacy. He currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida.
