California CLE Requirements
Attorneys must complete 25.00 credit hours every 3 years. Members must fulfill at least 12.50 hours of their CLE requirement with activities approved for Participatory CLE credit.
Self Study Allowable: Maximum 12.50 hours
Specialty Credit Requirements: Specialty credits must be taken as Participatory or Self Study.
Legal Ethics: 4.00 (required)
Elimination of Bias: 1.00 (required)
Substance Abuse: 1.00 (required)
New Attorney Information: Proportional Requirement - New admittees are allowed pro-rated credit hours based on months in active status. Go to the State Bar of California website at www.calbar.ca.gov for calculating instructions.
