Defending a Foreclosure: Help Families Save Their Homes
Completing Petition and Plan CLE is a step-by-step workshop oriented class on filling out: Bankruptcy Petition forms and local Chapter 13 Plan forms. Local Bankruptcy attorneys will be giving line-by-line instruction on how to best complete Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 schedules including specific instruction catered to local trustee preferences. Lien Stripping of Junior Mortgages and Mortgages on Non-Primary Residential Real Property (Chapter 13) will also be discussed. This CLE is great for attorneys new to bankruptcy or for law offices needing to train their paralegals in completing bankruptcy forms.

Susan S. Blum is Of Counsel with the Ginsberg Law Offices, P.C. She focuses her practice on bankruptcy, with particular expertise with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings.

Susan earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia College, Columbia University and a Master of Public Administration and Public Policy from New York University. Susan was Associate Editor Lead Articles for the Georgia State University Law Review and co-founder of the Immigration Law Society.

Susan’s background in public service makes her well suited to be a bankruptcy attorney and to advocate on behalf of her Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 clients. She sees her role as a bankruptcy attorney as more than just filing a petition, as she works to resolve clients’ immediate problems and put them on a path towards financial wholeness.

Susan is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Superior Court of Fulton County, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the Metro Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney Group (MACBAG).

Attorney Peter Bricks

The Bricks Law Group – Atlanta, GA

A 1998 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Peter earned his law degree from Georgia State University. Immediately upon his admission into the Georgia bar in 2006, he began working at the Bricks Law Firm, at the time focusing primarily on residential real estate closings. He has since started his own firm, Peter Bricks, PC. With offices located in Dunwoody, Cumming and Jonesboro, he represents clients throughout the metro Atlanta area, focusing on a variety of legal issues, with an emphasis on bankruptcy.

Peter regularly represents individual debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases throughout the Northern District of Georgia. He has been an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys since 2008, regularly participating in listserv discussions and attending conferences. He is also a member of the bankruptcy section of the Georgia bar as well as the Metro Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney Group (MACBAG) and participates in several bankruptcy pro bono projects.
