Immigration Workshop: Family & Employment
This course will provide an overview and introduction into the basic concepts of U.S. immigration law and procedure pertaining specifically to family- and employment-based visas. Included in the class is a step-by-step workshop on which forms should be filed and how they should be completed.

Additionally, the CLE will discuss the many different types of visas from the B-1 and B-2 to the H-1b, TN and E-3s. Student visas F,M and J and family based visas K-1 through K-4 along with other family- and employment-based visas will be also be covered.

Mr. Bagia has over 24 years of experience as a lawyer. He was admitted to the New Zealand bar and to the Supreme Court of Fiji in 1980. He migrated to the United States in 1981 and was to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1984. In 1985, he was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Bagia was an associate with Samuel & Ballard, P.C. and Berger & Montague, P.C., in Philadelphia from 1981 to 1984. While in Fiji, Mr. Bagia was an associate with Chauhan & Co., Attorneys at Law, and then Tappoo, Krishna & Co., Barristers and Solicitors. Mr. Bagia's experience in Fiji was as an attorney in general legal practice under the British Common Law and Commonwealth Legal System. He conducted criminal, civil, and divorce trials in Magistrates Court and presented civil litigation arguments in Supreme Court. Mr. Bagia received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Bombay in 1972 and his law degree from the University of Auckland in 1979. He also attended Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey in order to complete the required courses to sit for the Pennsylvania Bar. He has been a speaker on various aspects of immigration law for numerous organizations such as the Asian American Bar Association, the Migrant Educational Unit, Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania. He has also been a guest speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the International Law Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the American Nurses' Association on Accreditation, Pace University, the Eighth Annual Paul Roberson Festival, and the AILA Philadelphia Chapter. Mr. Bagia is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association; the Fiji Law Society; the Asian American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Ms. Grant represents individuals with meeting their personal immigration objectives through family based adjustment of status and consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility, naturalization and citizenship, fiancé visas, applications under the Violence Against Women Act, asylum and deportation/removal defense.

Ms. Grant received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her J.D. from Widener University. She is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
